With a clean-white colour choice for its environments, SUPERHOT may come across as dull at first. If you’ve already played it before, it isn’t worth buying again but newcomers should absolutely consider this version as an option to play Superhot. However what is great about the HD Rumble in SUPERHOT is that it creates the perfect balance of tactile feedback, blending seamlessly to the point where I had to actively pay attention in order to note it as it just blended so naturally. The plot progresses through glitches and the chat continues as your friend sends you updates patches. We’re not entirely sure why this particular phrase comes to mind, but Superhot is the most innovative shooter we’ve played in years.

Since players may be returning for a repeat playthrough in this installment of SUPERHOT on Switch, it’s important to note what this version does differently than any others. While it is functional, I found that it lacked the level of precision that the game required to properly place shots in some of the later levels, at least when it came to my personal control tastes. It’s story is complicated and deep, where you are even convinced to shoot a digital version of yourself in the head as you’re told to give in a “the system.” There is even an endless mode with returning and new levels where you play endless arena style levels and a challenge mode, where you are given a set of gameplay levels to progress through as you are given a set of rules that will make it harder on you. Superhot has become a classic of sorts since its original 2016 release. It’s a setup that does its job adequately, yet as the plot developed throughout the adventure, I found my mind returning to think about different aspects of this software premise.
