Stars: Happy Valentine’s Day everybody!
From Steve Carrel’s depressed cuckolded husband to Ryan Gosling’s slick womaniser, all the characters are well rounded and feel human, a welcome departure from the sappy nonsense every other romantic comedy is peddling. “Edward Scissorhands” and “Crazy, Stupid Love” are incredible. Sleepy Hollow entertains with its stunning visuals and creepy atmosphere. . Princess Bride is my all time favourite, for sure. Seymour is a nerdy assistant in a flower shop, and is completely smitten with his co-worker Audrey. Stars: Nick and Norah’s Infinite Playlist was a great inclusion. Some of these movies I haven’t seen yet because I was unsure whether I would like them…BUT seeing the others on your list that I already LOVE, I think I’ll go out on a limb and trust you. | Impossible love is one of the most recurrent topics in Burton's films, but no movie portrays it like Casper. Well-acted, thought-provoking, and a refreshing change of pace for Tim Burton, Big Eyes works both as a biopic and as a timelessly relevant piece of social commentary.
