Weekly journal club sessions focus on seminal articles in the clinical research literature. CCLCM also serves as an alternative model for expanding the capacity of undergraduate medical education as called for by the Association of American Medical Colleges.14 Rather than increasing class size in a single program, this model provides an alternative track for training students by using the unique strengths of an academic medical center in partnership with an existing medical school.
